I'm trying to reach the next level in dota gaming and I am willing to put down the money/effort to do so. I'm from Romania so I'll most probably be playing in a European league. Also, I'd rather it be on GGC (GArena) for the latency issues.

Try dota-league.com if you haven't, 99% of the games are hosted with lc or dc anyways, so no bnet delay there.
I've tried playing on garena (because I got falsely banned by dc, got unbanned now) but the quality of players is just poor. I won my first 15 games in a row going beyond godlike 12 times. At some point it really stops being fun. |

I feel the same way as -3d, gg pubs are terrible. HL1 is good though, but you almost need to buy gold membership to stomach all the games required to get through.
I'm looking to break through myself and i can't stand the delay of bnet, perhaps the best thing to do is find a group of people for clan wars on GG to you noticed/have good replays to get into some of the better inhouse leagues? This is the path i want to try but i'm not sure how to go about finding the guys for it.. Anyone have some ideas? Pub stomping is killing my love for this game.. |

ggc is good, try tournamentfront.com - skill is middle tho and the site is rather new (small player base), I love it tho

well, theres lots of 'competitive' leagues out there.. some more then others, while others less.
you can try dota league, as someone else mentioned; ihcs2/1, if you dont mind the manners; and some others. a simple google will do the trick (try dota inhouse league / dota high level games / etc.). you can also try joining some unknown clan on ggc and play some games on the dota cw room.. though i'm not sure if the lvl will satisfy you there. |
