It was not all about picks. MyM got outplayed. Nice debute by Raptor.National. Also second consecutive win of ex-bioxar vs MyM if I'm not mistaken.

Nah, H4nni got his farm, laning stage was about even but bioxar executed their battles much more effectively, or rather MYM could not initiate.

Was quite a nice game to watch.

Not sure why anyone would think MYM had bad picks. If anything, the picks were even or slightly in MYM's favor. Haven't watched the game yet, but they must have gotten outplayed.

It's not about "better pick" anymore. How do you define a better pick? There are still good combos and counters with more unconventional heroes.

Innovation is what drives this game. Sure, when someone tries something different and loses, everyone throws out the classic "dumb picks". But when it pays off... that's when everyone get excited and wants to try out their own new strats.

When I saw the drafts I thought raptor was in trouble. FP cm > es was pretty sill IMO but it payed off for them. wp.

"How to be outplayed by MYM".

Amazing, this guys played really bad... I think they big mistake was to get Centaur instead of another Carry... but no starting of Enigma also, really a bad step for MYM.

kunkka farmed alright but overall still lost to brood top, allowing brood to get REALLY fast bkb which made ganking against him/laning against him really hard. Brood's quick silence stick imho won raptor some teamfights, despite mym's excellent execution of mirana ulti+enigma, with centaur initiation. Even though the other lanes' kill score was about even the farm difference was pretty huge, evidenced by the fact that mym had to start mass ganking to keep up in kills, but still couldn't keep yurnero down plus centaur had no lanes to farm (beaten mid, definately couldn't take bot, wasting two heroes top). Raptor really abused crystal, and brood played really, really well, as did puck and yurnero, though I wasn't watching the others particularly closely. Brood quite literally seemed to think two steps ahead of EVERYONE, juking centaur stun, es stun, and baiting out enigma's bhole more than once.

Also the reason why there wasn't total domination of kunkka was the fact that brood went spiders instead of bite. It was actually quite impressive how he simply attack animation cancelled to kill kunkka within the ms boost of web. The mass spiders, a trade of for kunkka being able to farm pretty well, allowed brood to speedfarm and jungle woods. Really, really impressive play imho.
